Homework Assignment LaTeX Template
A good homework submission is easy for the grader to read: your name and course on top, each problem stated, the solution right below it, and page numbers in the footer. This free LaTeX homework template does all of that. It has a header block with name, student ID, course, instructor, assignment number and due date, a collaboration statement, and ready-made problem and solution environments, filled in with a solved example set so you can see how to present derivations, proofs, a figure, a table and a code listing.

What's included
- Header block with name, student ID, course, instructor, assignment number and due date, plus a collaboration statement line
- Running header with your name and course, and a footer with "Page x of y"
- Numbered problems with points and parts (a), (b), ... and a solution environment that ends with a closing square
- Worked examples of an aligned derivation, an induction proof, a table of values, a TikZ figure drawn without image files and a Python listing
- Number-set shortcuts (\N, \R) and all the labels grouped in one block, so they are easy to translate
How to customize it
Change your details in the block at the top of main.tex: \studentname, \studentid, \coursename, \instructor, \assignmentnumber and \duedate. Write each problem inside \begin{problem}[10 points] ... \end{problem} and your answer inside \begin{solution} ... \end{solution}, then delete the examples. Use align* for derivations and \qedhere to place the closing square. Words such as Problem and Solution are macros in the wording block, so you can translate them in one place.
